Why custom

What you gain when the software fits your business

You stop copying data by hand

Your systems talk to each other. No more exporting from one to paste into another and dragging errors along the way.

Your team works at its pace, not the software’s

Tools built around your real workflow, not a generic product everyone has to bend to.

Software stops being the bottleneck

Built to handle your growth, not to be rewritten from scratch a year from now.

You talk to the person who codes

One point of contact end to end. No layers of salespeople or broken telephone between you and the code.

What I build

Custom web apps

Dashboards, portals and internal tools that automate what you do by hand today.

Integrations & APIs

Connecting systems that don't talk to each other (ERP, CRM, gateways, third parties) so you stop copying data.

Custom management software

Lightweight ERP and internal tools when no off-the-shelf product fits your operation.

MVP for startups

Fixed scope, timeline and ballpark price to validate your idea without burning the round.

How I work

01

Diagnosis

I understand the business problem before writing a line. The most profitable hour is the one that avoids building what wasn't needed.

02

Proposal & quote

Scope in writing and an itemized quote: what's in, what's out and how changes are handled. No surprises.

03

Solution design

Architecture and technical decisions made to last, not to get by. Explained in your language, not in jargon.

04

Iterative development

Frequent deliveries you can see and try. No disappearing for three months and showing up with the wrong thing.

05

Handover

You get the source code, documentation and a clean go-live. The project is yours, and so is the know-how.

06

Support & evolution

Maintenance and improvements when you need them. I stick around when the software has to grow with you.

Has your software outgrown you, or are you missing the one you need?

Custom, SaaS or no-code?

You don't always need custom software, and I'll tell you straight before you spend a cent. Here's how I decide:

When it makes sense

Off-the-shelf SaaS

If your process is standard and a product already covers it, buy it. It's cheaper, faster and you don't need anyone to build anything.

When it makes sense

No-code

If you just want to validate an idea fast or set up a simple internal flow that isn't your competitive edge, a no-code tool is more than enough.

This is where I come in

Custom software

When your process is what sets you apart, no product fits, or integration between systems is your bottleneck. That’s where custom development pays for itself.

Who builds it

You talk to the engineer directly, not to a middleman

I'm Miguel Ángel (Miguelo), a software engineer. For years I've built web apps, backends and integrations for startups and businesses that needed their software to stop getting in the way and start helping.

I work solo or coordinating a small team depending on the project, but your point of contact is always me. That means fast decisions, no broken telephone, and someone who answers for the code end to end.

Frequently asked questions

  • How much does custom software cost?

It depends on scope, but a serious quote is always itemized. On the discovery call I give you a range you can defend and the variables that move it.

  • How long does a project take?

A scoped MVP can be ready in weeks; a full system, in months. In the proposal I give you milestone deadlines so you see real progress, not a single date at the end.

  • What if requirements change midway?

They usually do. That’s why I work in iterations and make it clear from the quote how a scope change is handled: its impact on time and price, decided with you, not behind your back.

  • Who owns the code when the project ends?

You do. You get the source code and documentation. No hidden dependencies, no vendor lock-in.

  • Do you offer maintenance after delivery?

Yes. I can handle maintenance and evolution, or leave the project documented for your team to continue. You choose the model.

  • Do you work hourly or fixed-price?

For well-defined scope, fixed price for predictability. For exploratory work or maintenance, hourly. I propose the model that suits you.

  • What technologies do you work with?

Mostly the web and API ecosystem (TypeScript, Node, React/Astro, SQL databases) and the cloud. I pick the tool for the problem, not the other way around.

  • Do you work remotely and with businesses outside Spain?

Yes. I work remotely as a rule and collaborate with clients in different countries. Distance has never been the problem.

  • Do you sign an NDA?

No problem. If your project requires it, we sign an NDA before getting into detail.
