Who is Miguelo DEV?
Senior Fullstack Developer · Solopreneur
Miguel Ángel Rodríguez, known online as Miguelo, has spent more than 7 years helping companies and startups build custom software, high-performance websites and digital product that actually sells.
At the same time he has become one of the voices helping developers stop settling for their salary and working conditions. Through his mentorship, his YouTube channel and his newsletter he teaches programmers around the world how to land better jobs, negotiate their salary and understand the real game of the tech market. No fluff.

The start was not pretty
I tried the "official" route. I enrolled in a Computer Engineering degree convinced that was where you become a programmer. I lasted a year. Failed subjects, courses that connected to nothing real, and the feeling of being more lost every month. I quit.
But I didn't give up. I started learning on my own with tutorials, docs, projects that didn't work, headaches and nights when the code wouldn't compile. Years, not weeks. Nobody handed me a diploma, I built it myself, line by line.
And even so, when I felt "ready" to look for a job, I hit another wall. I was sending résumés into a black hole. Silence. Automatic rejections. Back to thinking the problem was me.
The day I understood the game
It wasn't. The problem is nobody teaches you how you actually land the job, how to present your profile, how to stand out among hundreds of candidates, what a recruiter really looks at or how to talk about money without dying of embarrassment.
The day I stopped studying only tech and started studying the game, the market, negotiation and how decisions are made on the other side of the table, everything changed. I got offers, switched jobs for better pay and stopped feeling like I depended on luck. When I started sharing it, other devs got the same. So I decided to devote myself to that.
